Overview

A place to bring together the best upcoming financial professionals and teach them the ways and history of KPMG.

I led interaction and experience design for spatial installations at KPMG's Lakehouse, a training facility for new and returning employees. Working with a team including Tom Kershaw, YC Sun, Brian Standeford, Todd Vanderlin, Jenna Fizel, and Bri Patawaran, we created several innovative installations for the massive complex. The project featured three primary elements: The Legends Hall, which included 28' tall digital screens for KPMG history content and interactive vitrines with transparent screen overlays for artifacts; The Gathering Table, a 25' long interactive entryway table offering wayfinding assistance, historical information, and interactive activities; and The Haloes, three 30' round circular ceiling-mounted LED screens displaying news and abstract digital art. My design process utilized projection-mapped spatial mockups, foam-core prototypes, and real-time Figma updates to test interactions before construction. We also developed a VR experience of the space with live-updating assets from Figma, allowing clients to experience the installations at scale and provide feedback during development. The final implementation opened to stunning reviews, with KPMG creating extensive media coverage of the innovative space that successfully blends technology with KPMG's heritage and training needs.
