Project Gather

My work for Project Gather was to create an initial art direction and illustration and design system for a surgeon general collaboration making a recipe book for gatherings fostering social connection around America. The final book was completed by Helen Chen and Hanna Kim, and finally released in 2025 (a New York Times feature here). The original illustrations featured grainy noise pattern illustrations featuring hands holding and sharing food. The recipe book used these visuals to share recipes for creating low lift social gatherings as well as how to craft and foster social connection day by day with others through the power of food.
