I design, prototype, and build brands and interactions full of expressive type, fun motion, bold colors, and minimal line-work. Sometimes I write and speak about design. My craft is the way I speak to the world, I work to help others find their voice and make them successful.

Postcards from the Future

Postcards from the future was a set of illustrated postcards distributed at CoLab's 2019 Blueprint event. CoLab's finest prognosticators got together to tell made up stories about possible fictional futures. The postcards could be sent via the mail to anyone you know from the future you choose.

Postcards from the future was a concept the CoLab team used as a method of futuring in which you envision a future and write a short story about it from the perspective of someone in that future who is sending a postcard to the reader.

We created 16 short stories about futures pertaining to our focuses for the year and sent them out before our Blueprint 2019 event (more about the blueprint event series here.). I got all gussied up as a future postman at the event and told stories about the futures I had been to to deliver each person a postcard.

Site Experience and Illustrations

I created the postcards from the future website as a supplement to the physical postcards handed out at the Blueprint 2019 event You can view the site in an archived state here.

I created 16 unique vector illustration for the postcard fronts to capture the short stories on the backs.
